Julie Ramos is the founder of Aspen Philanthropy, an advisory practice dedicated to helping donors and families maximize their social impact through values-driven giving strategies. With nearly 15 years of experience spanning grantmaking, family foundation strategy, and next-generation engagement, her career includes roles at Ashoka, United Way of Salt Lake, LDS Charities, and Grantwell, giving her deep fluency in both the strategic and operational sides of philanthropy.
She previously served as Managing Director of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, where she worked to find innovative ways to address inequities in access to healthcare, basic needs, education, and economic mobility across Utah. Julie also has a love for international development and humanitarian work and has consulted for nonprofit organizations in Brazil, Egypt, and throughout West Africa.
Julie holds a Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University and is a 21/64 Certified Philanthropy Advisor, specializing in family governance, multigenerational engagement, and legacy planning. She currently sits on the Utah Somos Foundation board and forum steering committee for the National Center for Family Philanthropy.
